After 40 years of clay and kiln life style I finally, at the age of 61, built a kiln of my own.  It is located in Oldham County, Kentucky.  The kiln sits next to Brian Newton’s studio in a beautiful setting.  It took about three months to construct.  It is a modified anagama kiln inspired by kilns I have built and fired in the past.   My good friend, Ronald P. Knight, has a similar kiln in North Carolina that we have fired together several times.
